Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Soliman
Founder, Governance & Management Institute
Former Executive Director, the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD) — affiliate of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), 2018–2023
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Soliman brings more than 30 years of academic experience teaching corporate governance, finance and accounting across Egypt, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and more than 20 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing corporate governance systems for listed companies across the Arab region.
He is Professor of Accounting & Finance at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, where he previously chaired the Accounting & Finance Department and served as Vice Dean of the College of Management and Technology for Training Affairs.
Prof. Soliman has published six books in Arabic and English on internal control, internal auditing and family business governance, alongside more than 35 peer-reviewed papers in international journals on corporate governance. He has supervised numerous MBA theses and PhD dissertations, and has delivered executive programs on the role of governance in the transparency of financial statements, governance in banking, and risk management.
He has served as an Advisor to the Capital Market Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on corporate governance, and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Nile Company for Land Transport in Egypt. He has designed and implemented governance frameworks for numerous joint-stock companies across the Gulf region and Egypt.
He holds a PhD in Corporate Governance from Durham University, United Kingdom (2004).
